Book Of The Week: Windows at Bergdorf Goodman
One of my favorite things to do is window shopping!…. No! Not the type where you go looking for nice stuff to buy later (though I do like that as well!!!) I mean I love to look at how window shops are displayed…My favorite widows are the ones at Bergdorf Goodman in NY, Harrods and Harvey Nichols in London and Hermès everywhere!. They all have a reputation for being the most inspiring and imitated concepts in the world…..I honestly believe that window display is a form of art by it self!!!…..
So imagine my excitement when I found this book…..The two design powerhouses behind the windows of Bergdorf Goodman, Linda Fargo and David Hoey, shared their most inspiring creations in Windows at Bergdorf Goodman…...They put more than 100 illustrations and 55 photographs of some legendary window displays. I love that they show us what goes on behind the scenes with the team and their full-time staff of five and rotating cast of carpenters, puppeteers and incredible artists who come and go….. this is a fun coffee table book that I highly recommend.

A Cool Mom
Since mother’s day is tomorrow I thought Emmanuelle Alt (editor-in-chief of Vogue Paris) and her daughter Françoise deserve a post by themselves!!!! They are one of my favorite mother/daughter duos….I love this photo of them taken by Jak & Jil even though its an old one. Alt was wearing SS 2010 long boots from Isabel Marant and they looked amazing on her….and little Françoise was just too chic in her Burberry trench!
