Book Of the Week: How the Grinch Stole Christmas!

There is something truly magical about Christmas stories… My kids just love reading them over and over again…. This story, in particular, is a favorite …. maybe because they are Dr.Suess fans or maybe because they just love the movie so much!!!…who knows!!!

Dr. Suess writes a whimsical Christmas tale in his word-play style that everyone always enjoys…..The Grinch hates Christmas and wants to stop it from coming. So he forms a devious plan: to impersonate Santa Claus and steal Christmas presents. But to his amazement, he did not stop Christmas from coming!….. He realizes something new. That maybe Christmas doesn’t come from a store. That maybe Christmas . . . perhaps . . . means a little bit more!

Sarah Jessica Parker Unveils Barney’s Disney Themed Electric Holiday

Sarah Jessica Parker unveiled the Barneys New York holiday windows on Wednesday. The department store teamed up with Disney for their holiday campaign, called “Electric Holiday.”

Only SJP can wear Minnie Mouse ears and look this chic!!! Her black embellished LBD and lace Minnie Mouse ears were designed by L’Wren Scott…and her heels were by Manolo Blahník.

At the event, SJP revealed a short animated film that stars Minnie Mouse who window-shops for a Lanvin dress, daydreams her way to Paris Fashion Week and meets fashion VIPs like Steven Meisel, Anna Dello Russo, Carine Roitfeld, Emmanuelle Alt and more.

I couldn’t upload the video for some reason but try to watch it… it’s really cute 😉

Couture Christmas Trees

Those are the designer Christmas trees that were auctioned off to raise funds for A.V.E.C. (an organisation dedicated to cancer research) at Hôtel Salmon de Rothschild Paris on Dec 7th….. Designers like Jean Paul Gaultier, Christian Dior, Barbara Rhil and Olivia Putman, turned the traditional christmas trees into art pieces…… Gaultier’s tree was constructed out of green tassels wrapped around rods to imitate branches….. Dior’s had ruffles made out of silver-hued metal lit with gold-colored light.

So which one is your favorite?

Creative Christmas Trees Made From Books

I love books … and anything to do with books which includes decorating with them!!! I just think that they look so chic in any interior … and somehow add a bit of sophistication to any home…..

I love those trees made out of books…. they look so different…. If you can’t find a tree where you live or are not so into the holiday decoration I suggest that you collect all your book that you already have and make a tree out of them!
