The Only TV Program I Watched In Ramadan!
I rarely watch arabic TV programs …. not only because they are not entertaining like they used to be but also because they don’t provoke any thoughts!!!
Khawater however is the exception!… I wait for this program every ramadan… I really wish that they had it translated or something so that those of you who don’t speak arabic would know what I am Talking about
This year Khawater was better than any year and there were so many episodes that I really liked… I think that a lot of parents will find the following episode interesting

Last Day Of Ramadan
Though today is Eid in other countries, it is the last day of Ramadan here in Oman and we are still fasting…. To be honest Ramadan passed too quickly for us this year especially that we just felt it 2 days ago when we got back!….
There’s a strong will in Ramadan …a sort of strength in faith and in believing that anything is possible… and that any prayer can be heard… We see Ramadan as an opportunity in getting closer to God, not only through praying and fasting but through good deeds like feeding the poor, donating money or taking part in random acts of kindness…. Ramadan to us (or should I say some of us) is not just a detox for our bodies but it is a spiritual detox as well…. It grounds us and reminds us to be kind to one another and honest with each other.
Goodbye my favorite month of the year you will surely be missed.

Coco Chanel revolutionized fashion, liberated women from confining corsets and introduced them to “casual elegance”….She said that she wanted to give women “the possibility to laugh and eat, without necessarily having to faint”…..She designed trousers and comfortable suits for women, and she was the first to use jersey fabric as outerwear (at the time jersey fabrics were only used for men’s underwear!)… She hated the ornate ostrich-feathered hats of the day, famously asking, “How can a brain function under those things?” The flapper hat was her answer, and women loved it…..Coco was a trendsetter even when she didn’t intend to be. For example, when she cut her hair short, she sparked the craze for bobbed hair. And if you thought that tanning became fashionable because of some movie star, think again! It was Coco who made it fashionable when she got sun burnt in 1923 on a cruise towards Cannes!
Coco Chanel’s style and designs still remain influential and relevant till today. In the 1920s she introduced her signature “little black dress” which became a fashion staple and a must have for women everywhere. In fact by designing modern clothes she in fact created our classic wardrobes!!!
A Perfect Balance
São Paulo-based Fernanda Marques designed this beautiful home that perfectly balances indoor and outdoor living….It 250-square-meter (about 2,700 square feet) space, Fernanda has cleverly erased all the barriers by using outdoor elements inside and indoor elements outside….. by doing so she basically created visual links between the two where you are never quite in and never quite out… I just wish that we had a climate that would allow us to live in such a beautiful space!

I was only aware of 2 or 3 ways of shoe lacing. Apparently, there are at least 15 ways to do that!!!….I usually stick to number 9… but am thinking of trying some of those knew ways on my kids sneakers for a change!

We live in societies that sometimes forces us to think alike!!!…. Lets try not to let that happen to us …. The prophet Mohamed (saas) and many prophets before him refused to think like their ancestors and used their own reason to go on their paths…. We should all do the same….Think Different… and live our lives the way we see fit !!!….
